UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Two Penn State leaders, Tracy Langkilde and Karen Thole, were profiled by GameDay Couture as part of the “Gamechanger” series, which aims to showcase the accomplishments of women.
Tracy Langkilde is the Verne M. Willaman Dean at the Eberly College of Science. She is the first woman named to the position, which she’s served as since 2020. The “Gamechanger” series focuses on her history in experiencing and exploring nature, as well as leading research programs and efforts to increase diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging at Penn State.
Distinguished Professor Karen Thole, former department head of Penn State’s Department of Mechanical Engineering, also was featured in the series. The profile focused on what drew Thole into engineering and her efforts to make a path for herself despite a lack of women in the field.
The “Gamechangers Series” highlights and celebrates the achievements of notable and influential women across various fields and industries. GameDay Couture is a women-owned business and is a licensing partner of Penn State.
