UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The College of Earth and Mineral Sciences has announced the appointment of Shelley Corman-Frisby, a 1985 graduate in mineral economics, to the Graduates of Earth and Mineral Sciences (GEMS) board of directors. Corman-Frisby will commence her three-year term on July 1.
Shelley Corman-Frisby brings more than 37 years of experience in business development, commercial operations and regulatory affairs for natural gas transmission assets. She is vice president of business development at Boardwalk Pipeline Partners in Houston. She has demonstrated expertise in pipeline expansion projects, deal origination, midstream agreements and negotiations, FERC rate and certificate regulation, and commercial operations.
Corman-Frisby's experiences include leading multibillion-dollar pipeline expansion projects, strategic partnerships, and managing commercial operations and optimization. She is an expert in asset conversion strategies, change management, profit and loss budgeting, and staff management and development.
Before her current role, she held executive positions at Howard Energy Partners, Energy Transfer, Transwestern Pipeline Company, Enron Gas Pipeline, Florida Gas Transmission Company, and Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Company, where she demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and a commitment to driving success in the industry.
A Penn State alumna, Corman-Frisby earned a bachelor of science degree in mineral economics in 1985. Her comprehensive knowledge and extensive experience make her a valuable addition to the GEMS board of directors, according to Scott Billingsley, president of GEMS.
