CARLISLE, Pa. — Devan Drabik-Frey, director of Marketing and Communications at Penn State Dickinson Law, has been selected as a 2024 Women of Influence honoree by Central Penn Business Journal.

Women of Influence honors high-achieving women for their career accomplishments. These women are selected based on their professional experience, community involvement, and commitment to mentoring. The honorees were selected by a panel of judges comprised of previous years’ Circle of Excellence recipients and by the editors of Central Penn Business Journal.

According to Dean and Donald J. Farage Professor of Law Danielle Conway, “Devan’s expertise in the field of marketing and communications has been invaluable to the law school, as she promotes the accomplishments of Dickinson Law students, staff, faculty, and administrators. She has embraced the antiracist ethos that are examples of Dickinson Law values and its mission. She serves as the lead communicator for me as Dean and for the first-of-its-kind, award-winning Penn State Dickinson Law Antiracist Development Institute. The values and the mission of Dickinson Law ring clearly because of Devan’s commitment to the work of communication and action to pursue systemic equity and the promise of justice for all.”

Laura H. Williams, Penn State Dickinson Law’s associate dean for Administration, Career Services, and Policy & Planning, noted, “In her role as director, Devan leads all aspects of Penn State Dickinson Law's marketing and communication. This includes developing branding strategies to get the word out about Dickinson Law to prospective students; developing marketing strategies to communicate regularly with admitted students to convince them to enroll; developing internal communications with faculty, staff, and students about important activities within the Law School community and Penn State University; and developing strategies for communicating with external constituents, such as alumni, the greater Harrisburg community, and the press."

In addition to her work at Dickinson Law, Drabik-Frey is also a leader in her community, having served on several boards in recent years including the Historic Harrisburg Association, the Harrisburg Downtown Improvement District, the Pennsylvania Farm Show Commission, the Hershey/Harrisburg Regional Visitor’s Bureau, the Harrisburg Parks Foundation, and the Friends of the YWCA of Greater Harrisburg. Drabik-Frey also volunteers for numerous community events and fundraisers and is a member of the Pennsylvania Public Relations Society. Drabik-Frey is also a graduate of Leadership Harrisburg.

This year’s Women of Influence will be honored on Thursday, June 27, at a celebration at the Sheraton Harrisburg Hershey Hotel, 4650 Lindle Road. Registration and networking begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner and the awards program starting at 6:15 p.m.
