UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — As Penn State prepares for the winter break, the University has updated the availability of COVID-19-related resources for employees and students.
Drop-In Testing — University Park campus
Drop-in testing at the White Building at University Park campus will remain available during the winter break, but the site may be closed or have modified hours on some days. The White Building testing site will operate on the following schedule:

Spring semester hours for the White Building testing location begin on Monday, Jan. 3, and details are forthcoming.
Required Employee Testing
There will be no required testing for employees from Wednesday, Dec. 15, through Sunday, Jan. 2, due to the winter break.
Contact Tracing and Quarantine and Isolation
Contact tracing and quarantine and isolation resources will be available as needed during the winter break.
COVID-19 Call Center
The COVID-19 Call Center for faculty, staff, students and their families will be closed from Dec. 18 through Jan. 2. The call center will resume regular hours starting Jan. 10, and will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. The University’s Virus Info website is the best source of information during the call center closure dates.
University Health Services
University Health Services will be closed Saturday, Dec. 18, through Sunday, Jan. 2. The nurse advice line will continue to be available 24/7 at 814-863-4463 to students at all campus locations throughout the break. Students who are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms during the winter break should seek out symptomatic testing at an outside medical provider.
UHS will resume regular operating hours on Monday, Jan. 3.
Commonwealth Campus Health Services
Commonwealth Campus Health Services will operate on modified schedules, including several closures, during the break. Specific operating schedules can be obtained by contacting the campus’ health center. The University’s nurse advice line will continue to be available 24/7 at 814-863-4463 to students at all campus locations throughout the break. In an emergency, students are advised to visit an urgent care center or local emergency department.
Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)
CAPS offices will be closed starting Saturday, Dec. 18, through Sunday, Jan. 2. Students who need any type of support can call the Penn State Crisis Line 24/7 at 877-229-6400 or by texting “LIONS” to 74141. CAPS will resume normal operations on Monday, Jan. 3.
Employee Services — Occupational Medicine
Occupational Medicine will be closed Saturday, Dec. 18, through Sunday, Jan. 2, but staff members will monitor psuoccmed@psu.edu and address employee questions and issues, as appropriate, including contact tracing.
