UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The annual THON 5K powered by PNC will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 22.
This year's race is themed "Chasing Fearless Futures," and a portion of each registration fee goes directly toward THON's yearlong fundraising effort in the battle against childhood cancer. At the event, there will be opportunities to interact with Four Diamonds families, meet THON volunteers, listen to live music, purchase THON merchandise and more.
The festivities will be held outside the Bryce Jordan Center near Gate A, where the race route will begin. The day's timeline includes:
Programming begins at 9 a.m., with a pep rally at 10:45 a.m., a kid's race at 11:15 a.m. and the THON 5K powered by PNC beginning at 11:30 a.m. Live music from Donnie Burns and the 3rd Degree will be performed until the closing announcements at 1:30 p.m.
