Simulated emergency medical exercise to be held April 7 at University Park

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — On Sunday, April 7, Penn State Kinesiology’s Master of Athletic Training program will hold a simulated mass casualty incident with Penn State EMS on the east side of the University Park campus as a training exercise for students. 

The training exercise will take place from 10 a.m. to approximately 11:30 a.m. at the RV parking area west of the Beef and Sheep Center off Orchard Road. 

Student actors will pose as injured athletes and spectators for athletic training students to practice administering emergency care in high-risk situations. These student actors will be utilizing makeup and other techniques to appear injured for this training.  

Those who are in the area during this event should not be alarmed and are asked to not contact Penn State University Police and Public Safety or other emergency services.
