Simulated emergency medical exercise to be held April 6 on HUB lawn

Student actors will pose as injured athletes, spectators for athletic training students to practice administering emergency care

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — On Sunday, April 6, Penn State Kinesiology’s Master of Athletic Training program will hold a simulated mass casualty incident with the Penn State College of Medicine, Penn State Nese College of Nursing, and Penn State EMS. 

The training exercise will take place on the lawn of the HUB-Robeson Center from approximately 10 a.m. to noon. 

Student actors will pose as injured athletes and spectators for athletic training students to practice administering emergency care in high-risk situations. These student actors will utilize makeup and other techniques to appear injured for this training.   

Those who are in the area during this event should not be alarmed and are asked not to contact Penn State University Police and Public Safety or other emergency services.
