UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn Staters are invited to take part in the final online 50/50 raffle to benefit the Centre County United Way as part of the 2020-21 Penn State Untied Way campaign.
The drawing provides community members a fun and interactive opportunity to make a difference in the local Centre County community.
Community members can visit the online raffle platform to purchase tickets, which start at 10 entries for $10. Tickets can be purchased until 8 p.m. on Jan. 29, with the drawing occurring at 8:30 p.m. the same night.
One winner will be randomly selected from among all entries to win 50% of the money raised by ticket sales, while the remaining proceeds will be donated to the Centre County United Way. Previous online 50/50 raffle were also held in December and January as part of the Penn State United Way campaign.
About the Penn State United Way campaign
For more than 40 years, Penn State has designated the Centre County United Way as the University’s charity of choice and takes part in an annual fundraising campaign to support the United Way.
The Centre County United Way brings together 28 partner agencies across Centre County to work in the interconnected areas of health, education and economic security. Every year, one in three Centre County residents access the programs and services funded by the United Way.
Support from the Penn State community makes up more than 40% of the total dollars raised for the Centre County United Way each year. Every donation, no matter how small, makes an impact — a gift of only $5 can provide a week’s school supplies for a child in need.
Penn State community members are asked to please consider making a donation or monthly pledge. For more information, or to learn how can you support the Centre County United Way, visit UnitedWay.psu.edu.
