UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State Dining Services was honored on Dec. 5 by the Arc of Centre County as an outstanding employer in the community that provides job opportunities to individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Penn State Dining Services employs several people through the Arc of Centre County’s Nittany Employment Services program at Pollock, Redifer, and previously at Findlay Commons, on the University Park campus.

“We have several team members from Arc who support our team in providing great service for students who live on campus,” said Jamie Robinson, senior assistant director of residential dining. “They work in numerous positions and gain valuable skills working with teams, with social interactions, and being a part of our on-campus community.”

The award ceremony was held at Axemann Brewery in Bellefonte. South Food District assistant director Noel Kelly, Pollock assistant director Geno Corradetti, assistant manager Jessica DeHaas, and employee Alek Masters were on hand to accept the award.
