Penn State campuses to hold spring 2024 commencement ceremonies May 3-5

University expects to award approximately 14,249 diplomas to students across the commonwealth

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State will celebrate the accomplishments of its graduates during its spring 2024 commencement ceremonies, the majority of which will be held Friday, May 3, through Sunday, May 5.

This spring Penn State expects to award approximately 14,249 diplomas to students University-wide who are completing 177 associate, 11,461 baccalaureate, 1,793 master's, 410 law, 244 doctoral, 134 medical and 30 medical/graduate degrees. All figures listed are estimates as of April 22; totals do not include Penn College.

Schreyer Honors College Medals Ceremony

  • Ceremony: 4 p.m. Friday, May 3, Bryce Jordan Center
  • Speaker: Penn State President Neeli Bendapudi

The Graduate School at Penn State

Ceremonies:

  • Master’s degree candidates: 4:30 p.m., Sunday, May 5, Bryce Jordan Center

    • Speaker: Renata Engel, vice provost for Online Education at Penn State.
  • Doctoral degree candidates: 4:30 p.m., Sunday, May 5, Pegula Ice Arena
    • Speaker: Lee Kump, John Leone Dean in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences and professor of geosciences.
