UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State will welcome parents and family members to share in the Happy Valley experience for Parents and Families Weekend, set for Oct. 13-15. From grabbing cones at the Berkey Creamery to snapping photos at the Lion Shrine, the best Penn State traditions can be even sweeter when shared with family.
The weekend’s events begin midday Friday, Oct. 13, and come to a close on Sunday afternoon. Those attending are encouraged to download the Penn State Life app to access the event schedule from a mobile device.
Some events to look forward to include: the Old Main Open House and Bell Tower Tours; family photos at the Lion Shrine with a professional photographer; Off-Campus Housing Fair and housing information sessions; United in Song: A Student a Capella Concert; Physics Magic Show; guided tours of facilities across campus and around State College; and open houses hosted by each academic college.
Several events require a ticket purchase or additional registration. A complete list of these events will be emailed to registrants after registration is complete.
