UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Celebrate "everyBODY" during Penn State’s annual Love Your Body Week, Oct. 28 through Nov. 1, hosted by Health Promotion & Wellness (HPW), the Gender Equity Center, and Campus Recreation, all units of Penn State Student Affairs.
Love Your Body Week (LYBW), on the University Park campus, is a week of programming dedicated to promoting healthy body image. Throughout the week, HPW, the Multicultural Greek Council, Panhellenic Council, Campus Recreation, and the Gender Equity Center will be sharing messages of education, awareness, self-reflection and self-love. The goal of the week is to provide a time for students to consider their relationships with their bodies.
Throughout the week, events will cover topics such as body image, mental health, fitness, media representation, self-expression, eating disorders, embracing your body, and creating a culture of positivity.
Love Your Body Week is open to all Penn State students, staff, faculty and community members. All are invited to attend the free events and activities to help enhance body image, learn more about resources, and gain skills to support our community. Events include:
Guest Speaker: Rhonda Khan
7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, Flex Theater, HUB-Robeson Center
Rhonda Khan will present FOOD, a rhythmic tale of one woman’s addiction to food and the pressure to be thin. FOOD is a one-woman show featuring comedy, rap, multi-character monologue, and classic storytelling.
Co-sponsored by Health Promotion & Wellness, Multicultural Greek Council, Panhellenic Council, and Gender Equity Center. Funded by the Laura R. Whitaker Fund.
HealthWorks Love Your Body Table

HealthWorks, a student peer education and outreach program that promotes health at University Park, will be tabling at the HUB-Robeson Center and will have fun activities and giveaways in support of Love Your Body Week!
