UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Society for Indian Music and Arts at Penn State and Penn State Nritya have announced the resumption of the Happy Valley Indian Performing Arts Festival, after a pandemic hiatus. The Happy Valley Indian Performing Arts Festival brings four diverse music and dance forms from across the Indian subcontinent to Penn State's HUB Flex Theater on Friday, Sept. 23, and Sunday, Sept. 25.
This year's festival will feature four exciting recitals featuring Hindustani vocal music, Bharata Natyam, carnatic vocal music, and a very special concert of Qawwali by SIMA's own Qawwali troupe.
Tickets are $4 for Penn State students and $4.99 for general admission. Festival tickets are available for purchase at the venue up to one hour before the event or online.
