UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Office of Off-Campus Student Support, a unit of Penn State Student Affairs, will be hosting the Fall 2021 Housing Fair in person on Sunday, Oct. 10. A virtual session of the Fall 2021 Housing Fair is also scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 14. The in-person Housing Fair is part of Parents & Families Weekend.
The one-day in person event will be held from 10 a.m. through 2 p.m. at Alumni Hall within the HUB-Roberson Center on the University Park campus of Penn State, while the virtual version will go from 2 to 4 p.m. Registration is required to attend the virtual Fall Housing Fair, although registration will not be necessary prior to the in-person Housing Fair.
Attendees looking to gain knowledge about on- and off-campus housing options at University Park will be available at both fairs. Local vendors will be on site offering discounts, incentives, or prize drawings for attendees. Attendees will have the opportunity to talk with both on- and off-campus housing representatives about their housing options and decide which best fits their needs. Students can explore the pros and cons of on-campus versus off-campus housing.
“We are very excited to be able to offer the Housing Fair in both in-person and virtual formats”, said Libby Jones, assistant director for off-campus student support. “We want students and families to be able to access housing information in the manner that best meets their needs.”
The Fall 2021 Housing Fairs are open to anyone interested in housing near University Park including students, parents, families, faculty, and staff.
Penn State’s Student Legal Services office offers free lease reviews to University Park students, giving students the opportunity to review the lease terms with an attorney before signing.
