UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Health Promotion and Wellness, a unit of Penn State Student Affairs, is hosting a variety of free wellness activities in preparation for finals week, now through Wednesday, Dec. 6.

The activities are designed to reduce stress and promote healthy relaxation techniques. The series is comprised of brief one-hour events aimed to help students cope with stress and better manage time demands.

“Research indicates that taking time to practice self-care leads to lower stress," said Erin Raupers, coordinator, Health Promotion and Wellness. "We hope that through this wellness series students are able to learn stress management techniques. Overtime, as students increase their ability to cope with stress, it may also help improve their academic performance.”

The full schedule of wellness activities include:

— Monday, Nov. 27: Puzzles and Overnight Oats

— Thursday, Nov. 30: Do-It-Yourself Stress Balls

— Monday, Dec. 4: Easy Ways to Reduce Stress

— Wednesday, Dec. 6: Mindful Eating Using Your Senses

All activities will be held from 6-7 p.m. in the new Wellness Suite, 020 Intramural Building. All students are welcome to attend. Materials needed to complete each activity will be provided.
