UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State’s Bahá’í Campus Association will co-host a Race Amity Day celebration with Centre County Bahá’ís at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 10, at Holmes-Foster park’s upper pavilion. The celebration, which is open to the public, aims to bring together people of all races to form new friendships.
The program will feature live music, activities, and a short documentary titled “An Introduction to Race Amity: America’s Other Tradition.”
Race Amity Day, occurring on the second Sunday in June, was established in 1957 by members of the Bahá’í Faith in the United States. Since its establishment, Race Amity Day has been commemorated in communities around the nation.
