ALTOONA, Pa. — A recent article on the State Impact Pennsylvania website features Penn State Altoona Associate Professor of Physical Geography and Environmental Studies Lisa Emili and Penn State Altoona Distinguished Alumni Joseph Pizarchik.
The pair were interviewed about their efforts to record and publish a study of the environmental, economic and political challenges that had to be contended with to remediate acid mine drainage at the Flight 93 National Memorial. An audio version of the article was also aired on NPR.
