UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — With additional parking capacity expected at University Park during the summer, Penn State Transportation Services is making temporary parking adjustments to provide closer and more flexible access for faculty/staff permit holders.
Beginning Monday, May 9, and continuing through Friday, Aug. 12, all payroll-deducted faculty/staff core permits (Brown, Green, Orange, Red, Silver, Yellow) will be valid at the following parking areas:
- East Deck
- Eisenhower Deck
- Nittany Deck
- Brown 11 (White Course Apartments student lots)
To access the East and Nittany decks, permit holders must scan their permit's barcode at entrance and exit lane machines. Permit holders should not take a ticket.
Access to these additional areas will not be available to faculty and staff with a Commuter or Evening/Weekend permit. However, faculty/staff Commuter permit holders who wish to gain this access during the summer may visit the Transportation Services Office to purchase an upgrade permit at an additional cost of $27 per month. The office is located at 1 Eisenhower Parking Deck, and hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
All other regular parking restrictions will remain in effect during the summer.
Transportation Services will continue to monitor campus parking usage and availability and will make additional adjustments when and where able to do so.
