WYOMISSING, Pa. — The Berks LaunchBox powered by Penn State will host a “Rolling in Safety Family Helmet Decorating” workshop from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, and Tuesday, April 30. Both events are sponsored by the Berks County Safe Kids Coalition and the Reading Hospital Trauma Department and are free and open to the public.

The April 18 workshop will be for youth ages 11 and older, while the April 30 workshop will be for youth ages six to 10 and it will be held in both English and Spanish. Adults must attend with children under the age of 18. Families with multiple children may bring them all together to either session.

During the workshops, youth attendees will receive a free helmet and will use Cricut Cutters and 3D printers to create stickers and designs to personalize them. The workshops aim to address cycling safety by providing free helmets for youth and lowering the risks of bicycle-related head injuries.

Individuals who are interested in attending can register online on the Berks LaunchBox website.
