UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.  — The Arthur W. Page Center is hosting a free online event featuring experts at the highest levels of public communication titled “Finding truth, building trust” at 10 a.m. on April 23. The discussion and Q&A will explore the societal impacts of eroding public trust and provide essential tips and tactics for its restoration. Experts will share valuable insights and practical advice for navigating today's complex media landscape. Attendees can register here

Panelists will be Jon Iwata, executive fellow and lecturer at the Yale Program on Stakeholder Innovation and Management at Yale School of Management and Vivian Schiller, vice president and executive director of Aspen Digital at the Aspen Institute. The discussion will be moderated by Suki Dardarian, Page Center advisory board member and former editor and senior vice president of the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Powered by the expertise and insights of the panelists, the discussion will focus on practical strategies for media literacy, critical thinking and navigating the challenges and opportunities created by artificial intelligence. It will also include interactive Q&A sessions with the audience.

"We saw a need to bring together distinguished experts that can help us address pressing issues facing communicators today," said Denise Bortree, Page Center director and interim dean of the Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications. "This discussion will aim to empower communicators with the tools to communicate responsibly and navigate a shaky media landscape.”
