“Tax Avoidance Behavior” will be the topic of discussion when the Economics and Liberty Lecture Series returns to Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, on Monday, March 30.
Todd Nesbit, a senior lecturer in free enterprise economics and competitive markets at Ohio State University, will be the presenter, and much of his research focuses on the secondary and unintended effects of taxation.
Nesbit also holds a position on the Board of Scholars for the Mackinac Center for Public Policy and is an affiliated scholar with the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. He previously served as an assistant professor of economics at the College of Charleston and at Penn State Behrend.
His research has led to peer-reviewed professional publications appearing in the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, the Southern Economic Journal, Public Budgeting and Finance, Growth and Change, the Journal of Sports Economics and others.
The presentation, which will begin at 4:30 p.m. in Room 180 of the Jack Burke Research and Economic Development Center, 5101 Jordan Road, is free and open to the public. Free parking will be available in the deck behind Burke Center, off Technology Drive.
