ERIE, Pa. — The Penn State Behrend men’s tennis team clinched the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference regular-season title with a 9-0 win over Pitt-Greensburg. The team finished the season with a 7-0 conference record.
Behrend’s baseball, softball, track and field, volleyball, golf and water polo teams also were in action last week. Here are the scores and highlights:

The Lions hit a triple, three doubles and seven singles in the first inning of the opener against La Roche. Pitcher Derrick Shields, a senior from Waterford, had 10 strikeouts, including a stretch of eight consecutive batters.
Softball

Centerfielder Sierra Williams, a sophomore from Grove City, hit a home run in the opener against La Roche. She hit another against Mount Union.
Men’s volleyball
Penn State Behrend 3, Geneva 1
Penn State Behrend 3, Carlow 0
Owen Wienczkowski, a junior from Waterford, had 16 kills against Geneva. Dylan Buzalka, a senior from Carlisle, had a career-high 15 kills and 24 digs.
Men’s track and field
Anand Bhambhwani, a senior from Pittsburgh, won the high jump at the Slippery Rock Invitational. He cleared a height of 1.93 meters and qualified for the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference championships.
Women’s track and field
Olivia Nola, a sophomore from Erie, won the 5,000-meter race at the Slippery Rock Invitational. She finished in 18:29.77 and qualified for the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference championships.
Men’s tennis

Mitchell May, a senior from Erie, and Aidan Piazza, a sophomore from Fairview, won at No. 2 doubles against Mt. Aloysius, posting a score of 8-0. Evan Dean, a sophomore from New Castle, and Mason Harbaugh, a senior from Greensburg, won at No. 3 doubles, also finishing 8-0.
Men’s golf
Sixth (of six teams) at the Penn State Division III Challenge
Daniel McMaster, a sophomore from Murrysville, and Ryan Johnson, a senior from Centre Hall, tied for 15th in a field of 34 golfers. Each shot a 120 over the two-day tournament.
Women’s water polo
Grove City 17, Penn State Behrend 14
Washington and Jefferson 14, Penn State Behrend 6
Penn State Behrend 16, Utica 4
Connecticut College 20, Penn State Behrend 9
Nic Darrell, a sophomore from Perkasie, scored five goals against Utica. Olivia Wright, a junior from Fairview, scored four. Darrell now holds the program record for steals in a season, with 94.
