ERIE, Pa. — Career-best games by Morgan Altavilla and Rachel Majewski led the Penn State Behrend women’s basketball team past Alfred State, 90-78. Altavilla, a sophomore from Pittsburgh, scored 34 points. Majewski, a junior from Erie, scored 33.
Behrend’s track and field, volleyball and wrestling teams also were in action last week. Here are the scores and highlights:
Men’s basketball
Penn State Behrend 76, Pitt-Greensburg 51
Penn State Behrend 74, Alfred State 51
Tommy DiRienzo, a senior from Pittsburgh, scored 27 points and grabbed seven rebounds against Alfred State. Matthew McDonough, a sophomore from Pittsburgh, scored 23 points against Pitt-Greensburg.
Women’s basketball
Penn State Behrend 88, Pitt-Greensburg 73
Penn State Behrend 90, Alfred State 78
Madilyn Boyer, a sophomore from Saxonburg, scored 11 points against Pitt-Greensburg. Alexis Furyes, a junior from Medina, Ohio, had seven rebounds, three blocks, three steals and two assists against Alfred State.
Men’s track and field
Ryan Festa, a senior from Horsham, placed third in the pole vault at the SPIRE Midwest Open. He cleared a height of 4.60 meters.
Women’s track and field
Madison Kappeler, a senior from Cecil, placed fourth in the pole vault at the SPIRE Midwest Open, clearing a height of 3.15 meters. Lindsey Hartle, a sophomore from Pittsburgh, placed sixth in the 3,000-meter race, finishing in 11:25.83.

St. Norbert 3, Penn State Behrend 0
Owen Wienczkowski, a senior from Waterford, recorded eight kills and two block assists against St. Norbert. Alex Jackson, a senior from Cochranton, had 23 assists against Hobart.
Wrestling
St. John Fisher 37, Penn State Behrend 9
Lane Dellaquila, a freshman from St. Marys, won a 4-3 decision in the 165-pound bout against St. John Fisher.
