MONACA, Pa. — The Penn State Extension office in Beaver County has relocated to Penn State Beaver campus in Monaca from its previous location on Third Street in Beaver.

“We are thrilled that the Penn State Extension office in Beaver County now will be hosted at Penn State Beaver,” said Jeffrey Hyde, director of Penn State Extension and associate dean in the College of Agricultural Sciences.

“This new location will provide our extension educators with state-of-the-art technology and flexible space to hold workshops and other events, while fostering new partnerships with faculty and staff on campus. We expect this move to enhance the programs we offer to the residents, businesses and agricultural community in Beaver and surrounding counties,” Hyde said.

Penn State Extension’s new Beaver County office is located on the lower floor of the Ross Administration Building. The public can access the office by parking in Lot F off University Drive.

Extension and campus leaders are inviting the public to attend an open house from 4 to 6 p.m. on Nov. 18 to see the new location and learn more about extension programming.

“We are very excited to have the Beaver County office of Penn State Extension move onto campus so we can advance several collaborations, including an initiative to transform significant turf to meadows on campus and develop educational trails and teaching fields so that the community can learn from the project,” said Carey McDougall, regional chancellor of Penn State Beaver and Penn State Shenango.

“We are also eager to collaborate on our campus farm, which supports student engagement in growing produce and flowers and can support extension research and outreach,” McDougall said. “And we look forward to our continuing education partnership with 4-H. These are just a few of the endless possibilities our co-location will foster.”
