MONACA, Pa.  — Jodi Gill, lecturer in criminal justice at Penn State Beaver, has been appointed to the National Constitution Center's Teacher Advisory Council for the 2024-2025 term.
 
Gill will serve as a member of the cohort through June 30, 2025.
 
The Teaching Advisory Council is a network of educators who collaborate with the Philadelphia-based center to share best practices for teaching constitutional and civics topics.

“Through a lens at the intersection of U.S. history and current events, the Teacher Advisory Council advises the center on programs and resources that would best support classroom instruction on constitutional fundamentals,” according to the National Constitution Center's website.  
 
“I am so excited that Jodi Gill is joining the council. Her wealth of knowledge and experience will be invaluable, providing unique insights from both the student and university perspectives,” said Mari Pierce, interim director of academic affairs and professor-in-charge of the criminal justice program at Penn State Beaver. “Jodi’s involvement will not only enhance the council’s work but also bring back valuable learnings to our students, enriching their educational journey and preparing them for successful careers in criminal justice.”
