Penn State ‘Student Ticket Week’ begins Aug. 31

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State students will have an opportunity to purchase tickets for a trio of sports and receive a complimentary Student Nittany Lion Club membership during “Student Ticket Week,” set for Aug. 31 to Sept. 10.

Students will have an opportunity to secure their seats for the season opening football game at Temple and buy season tickets for Nittany Lion basketball and men’s hockey, as well as some special hardwood and hockey games.

The football ticket sale will be in-person and the basketball and hockey sales will be online, with information available at GoPSUsports.com/studentcentral or by calling 1-800-NITTANY.Football at Temple tickets: 7 a.m. Monday, Aug. 31Students who want to attend the Sept. 5 season opener at Temple can purchase a ticket at Gate B (northeast corner) of the Bryce Jordan Center beginning at 7 a.m. on Aug. 31.

A limited number of student tickets will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis for the contest at Lincoln Financial Field. Each student will be permitted to purchase a $50 ticket and must present a valid Penn State ID+ card to secure a ticket. Sales of all tickets will be done on a cash-only basis. Credit cards, checks and Lion Cash will not be accepted.

Students wishing to purchase tickets so that they may sit together at the Temple game will need to make their ticket purchase together at Gate B of the Bryce Jordan Center on Monday morning. Students may arrive at the Jordan Center at 6 a.m. on Monday for the sale.

The Penn State-Temple game will kick at 3:30 p.m. and air on ESPN, the Penn State Sports Network (2 p.m. airtime) and GoPSUsports.com.Men’s Basketball season tickets: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1Students will have an opportunity to purchase a $24 season ticket for the Nittany Lions’ Big Ten Conference schedule starting at 10 a.m. on Sept. 1. All sales will be online via Student Account Manager at GoPSUsports.com/studentcentral. Students will be admitted for free to the Nittany Lions’ non-conference home slate in the Bryce Jordan Center, which begins Nov. 14 vs. VMI.

Students who purchase season tickets to join the Nittany Nation student section will receive priority for ordering tickets to Penn State’s two contests in Rec Hall on Dec. 10 and 12 as part of the Las Vegas Classic. Tickets for the two Rec Hall games will be $13 and details on the sale will be announced later in the fall semester.

Students who purchase men’s basketball season tickets also receive a complimentary 2015-16 Student Nittany Lion Club membership, valued at $25. Student Nittany Lion Club members will receive priority to purchase tickets should the Penn State football team be invited to a bowl game this season and will begin earning points toward purchasing season football tickets upon graduation.Student Nittany Lion Club Day: Wednesday, Sept. 2The Student Nittany Lion Club is a vital and growing part of the Nittany Lion Club and allows students to begin making an impact on Penn State's tradition of excellence while receiving benefits that aim to grow a deeper relationship with Penn State Athletics. The online sale for the Roar Zone student section, which has sold out the first two seasons at Pegula Ice Arena, will begin at 7 a.m. on Sept. 3. The $143 season ticket will not include the Jan. 8-9, 2016, games vs. Minnesota during winter break.

Students wishing to purchase season tickets for the Roar Zone must have a MyTicketmaster account. To create an account, go to GoPSUsports.com/studentcentral and view the quick-start guide prior to Sept. 3. Season tickets will be placed on a student’s Penn State ID+ card.Men’s Hockey International Game tickets: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9Students who are successful in purchasing men’s hockey season tickets will have priority to buy two tickets, subject to availability, for the team’s International Game vs. the University of Windsor, starting at 10 a.m. on Sept. 9. Tickets are $8 for the Oct. 4 contest and will be on sale exclusively via AccountManager.
