Penn State faculty, staff eligible for football season ticket donation discount

Penn State employees can select their season seats at Blue-White Game April 16

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The 2016 football season is less than five months away, and Penn State faculty and staff are eligible for an exclusive 50 percent donation discount on season tickets in Beaver Stadium. Full-time Penn State employees and officially retired faculty and staff can purchase up to two season tickets for a schedule that will include five Big Ten home games for the first time.

Penn State employees will have an opportunity to view available seats in person with a customer service representative during the Blue-White Game on April 16. Interested staff should stop by Gates B or E or visit the Pepsi or AT&T decks, with their faculty/staff ID, for more information, or call 1-800-NITTANY, weekdays from 8 a.m-5 p.m.Penn State faculty and staff can purchase up to two season tickets for $385 per ticket for seven games, plus the required donation, which is discounted 50 percent, in an exclusive opportunity. Seats in the Red Zone have a $200 donation ($400 regular price), seats in the Yellow Zone have a $100 donation ($200 regular price) and seats in the Blue Zone have a $50 donation ($100 regular price).Penn State opens the season Sept. 3 vs. Kent State and also welcomes Temple (Sept. 17), Minnesota (Oct. 1), Maryland (Oct. 8-Homecoming), Ohio State (Oct. 22), Iowa (Nov. 5) and Michigan State (Nov. 26) to Beaver Stadium this fall.As in previous years, there will be no admission or game-day parking fee for Saturday's Blue-White Game, which will kick at 2 p.m. and air live on the Penn State Sports Network and GoPSUsports.com. The overnight RV lot opens Friday, April 15, at 8 a.m. and is $60, cash only. Cars accompanying an overnight RV will be charged $20, cash only.Beaver Stadium parking lots will open on game day at 8 a.m. Beaver Stadium gates A and B will open at 12:30 p.m. Team arrival for the Nittany Lions will be at 10:30 a.m. at the corner of Curtin and Porter Roads.The popular autograph session with the Nittany Lions will be held from 11:15 a.m.-12:05 p.m. New this year, members of the Penn State football team will be assigned to gates A, B, C, E and F of Beaver Stadium. The players will be permitted to sign one item per person to give as many fans as possible an opportunity to meet the squad. Additional information regarding the autograph session will be released at a later date.The Nittany Lions return 17 starters (nine offensive, five defensive, three specialists) and 24 additional lettermen for their 130th campaign. Penn State season ticket renewals and Nittany Lion Club membership renewals also are underway for the 2016 campaign.
