UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State Athletics today (Aug. 21) announced a $10 million Founders’ Gift for the Beaver Stadium Revitalization project from a donor who chooses to remain anonymous. This is the second Founders Gift for the project, joining the $25 million commitment from the Misitano Family and PAM Health announced last week.
“This generous family has supported our department in a number of ways, and we are so grateful to have them as a leader in our fundraising efforts for the revitalization,” said Patrick Kraft, vice president for intercollegiate athletics. “This gift is a unique symbol of a deep commitment to a significant priority. We are so thankful to have the support we have received in the early stages of fundraising for this project.”
Leaders in the Beaver Stadium Revitalization project, the Beaver Stadium Founders are donors making transformational gifts of eight figures or more. As Founders, these benefactors play a vital role in allowing Penn State Athletics to execute a renovation plan that will not only preserve the rich history of Beaver Stadium, but also modernize the facility while making it a year-round venue. The generous gifts of the Beaver Stadium Founders will be recognized in a plaza outside Beaver Stadium at the completion of the renovation.
“We are deeply grateful for the generous support from this family that wishes to remain anonymous,” said Penn State President Neeli Bendapudi. “The members of this family truly embody what it means to be Penn Staters and have embraced the ‘We Are’ spirit. The Beaver Stadium Revitalization will have a tremendous impact on our campus and our community, and we are thrilled to see loyal Penn Staters leading the way and making it a reality.”
About the Beaver Stadium Revitalization
In May 2024, the Penn State Board of Trustees approved investing in a $700 million renovation of Beaver Stadium, which will grow revenue-generating opportunities, transform the fan and community experience and fuel the future funding for all 31 athletics programs at Penn State. The approved renovations will enable year-round use of Beaver Stadium, further driving economic growth and development in the surrounding region.
