UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Penn State men's hockey season ticket fan base is ready for next season. Ninety-five percent of current season ticket holders renewed for the upcoming 2015-16 season in Hockey Valley, while the remaining tickets were snatched up by existing season ticket holders and those at the top of the waiting list.
"Our team absolutely loves playing in front of our great, loyal fans," 2015 Big Ten Coach of the Year Guy Gadowsky said. "A 95 percent renewal rate is fantastic. Our home ice advantage is built up on the support and energy of our season ticket holders. We can't thank them enough."
With the season ticket renewal and seat selection process concluded, a limited number of single-game tickets will go on sale August 12-13 for Nittany Lion Club members. If tickets remain, tickets will go on sale August 14 to the public. Additional information regarding single-game sales will be released later this summer.
The Penn State student ticket sale will take place in September with details to be released at a later date.
The Nittany Lions played in front of literally the most packed house in NCAA Division I men's hockey in 2014-15. The Blue & White faithful brought Pegula Ice Arena's average attendance to 104.1 percent of capacity as the Nittany Lions skated to a 13-2-3 mark.
Penn State averaged 6,030 fans per game in its 5,782-seat arena. Penn State fans sold out Pegula Ice Arena on 17 occasions as the $90 million arena brought its total sellouts number to 33 in 36 total contests.
