ALTOONA, Pa. — The National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) recognized the Penn State Altoona women’s bowling program on July 6 for its success in the classroom when it announced its annual All-Academic awards for the 2020-21 year.

Penn State Altoona women’s bowling earned a spot on the NTCA All-Academic team list, as the Lions compiled a cumulative team grade-point average of 3.30. The organization’s All-Academic team list recognizes NCAA bowling teams that have cumulative team GPAs of 3.2 or higher for the past academic school year.

Additionally, the NTCA recognized three individual student-athletes on the Penn State Altoona women’s bowling team for being named to the All-Academic individual list: Breanna Yarnall (Bedford, Pennsylvania/Bedford), Chloe Mazza (Burlington, New Jersey/Burlington Township), and Kaitlyn Estright (Norristown, Pennsylvania/Archbishop Carroll). To qualify for NTCA All-Academic individual status, an NCAA bowler must have a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher for the past academic school year.
