105 Penn State Altoona student-athletes earn Academic All-Conference status

NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. — The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) continued its celebration of NCAA Division III Week on Thursday, April 8 by announcing its 2020-21 Academic All-Conference team

The conference’s annual Academic All-Conference team recognizes student-athletes from institutions across the AMCC for achieving cumulative grade point averages of 3.2 or higher through the fall 2020 semester. Individuals on the list who compile GPAs of 3.5 or higher earn a greater status of recognition, as they are tabbed as Peak Performers. The 2020-21 AMCC Academic All-Conference team is comprised of 840 student-athletes from across the conference’s member schools, including both full and affiliate members. 

This year, a total of 105 Penn State Altoona student-athletes earned spots on the AMCC Academic All-Conference team. Out of that group, 61 student-athletes were recognized as Peak Performer individuals. Additionally, 19 Penn State Altoona student-athletes were tabbed for induction into Chi Alpha Sigma, the national student-athlete honor society. 

The 2020-21 total of 105 Penn State Altoona student-athletes who took spots on the AMCC Academic All-Conference team represents an increase over last year’s total of 96.
