UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — For the first time in its 40-year history, the Penn State Blue Band’s “Blue Bandorama” indoor concert will be held in the Bryce Jordan Center at University Park. The concert will take place at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6.

“Blue Bandorama” began in 1978 as an indoor showcase of the music played during halftime at Penn State football games. For the past 39 years, the concert was held in November on the eve of the final home football game of the season at Eisenhower Auditorium. In addition to moving to the Bryce Jordan Center, this year’s concert will be held earlier in the season during the football team’s bye week.

The band will perform traditional Penn State songs as well as some of its most exciting halftime shows. The concert will include a special guest performance by Penn State’s musical theater department.

Tickets are $24.50 for adults and $19 for Penn State students and youth ages 17 and under. Children ages 2 and under are free. VIP tickets, which include a meet and greet, also are available. Tickets go on-sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, at the Bryce Jordan Center, Eisenhower Auditorium, Penn State Downtown Theatre, Penn State Altoona campus, online at ticketmaster.com, or by calling 800-745-3000. All tickets are reserved theater-style seating.
