UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Collegiate Recovery Community and the Jana Marie Foundation are hosting a free-admission production of Chicago-based actor Jack Schultz’s one-man play "I’m Falling in Love All the Time" at 5 p.m. on Feb. 5 at the State Theatre in downtown State College.
Written and performed by Schultz, the show looks at the intersections between life and addiction — all shadowed by Schultz’ grief following his brother’s overdose death. According to the Chicago Reader, “Schultz propels the hour-long piece with a potent mix of humor, physicality, and in-your-face vulnerability.”
The Penn State Collegiate Recovery Community is a program in Penn State Student Affairs that supports Penn State students in recovery from alcohol and other substance use disorders.
The Jana Marie Foundation envisions communities working together to knock down walls and transform emotional distress into resilience and hope, and, through the power of dialogue and creative expression, sparks conversations, builds connections, and promotes mental well-being among young people and their communities.
