UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The HUB-Robeson Galleries will host an exhibition of artwork by the instructors and participants of Penn State's Center for Arts and Crafts (CFAC) in the display cases on the first floor of the HUB-Robeson Center as well as in Art Alley. The work will be on view in the display cases from Feb. 6 to April 19 and in Art Alley from April 8 to 19. The exhibit will feature two-and three-dimensional artwork in media and disciplines representing the range of art classes available at the CFAC.
An opening reception will be held from 4-7 p.m. on April 7 in Art Alley and is free and open to the public. The CFAC will host a watercolor and colored pencil drawing activity during the reception.
For more than 40 years the CFAC has provided quality programs and services for the ever-changing social, educational and recreational needs of the Centre County community. The center's main office and classrooms are located in Ritenour Building at the corner of Pollock and Shortlidge roads, and the Ceramics Studio is located in the HUB-Robeson Center.
CFAC, a unit of Student Activities in Penn State Student Affairs, offers a variety of noncredit adult art classes all year for students and staff, and children’s art camps in the summer. All classes are taught by Penn State art majors, art education majors, graduate students and professional artists.
The display cases and Art Alley are open for viewing daily. For more information on this and other exhibitions, contact the HUB-Robeson Galleries at 814-865-2563, or visit the HUB-Robeson Galleries website.
