UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Fans of Broadway and the Disney film series "Frozen" won't want to miss the latest episode of the Penn State Alumni Association's "People of Penn State" podcast, which features Broadway and threatre actress Caroline Bowman.
Bowman is currently starring in Disney’s "Frozen" North American tour as the role of "Elsa." Her Broadway credits include roles in "Wicked" and "Kinky Boots." She has been seen on tour and around the world in "Evita," "Spamalot," "Grease," and "Fame: The China Tour."
"I really do try to think of myself as audience member, especially as a kid, and how it felt to watch those performances," Bowman said of what inspires her to perform.
"Especially if I'm having a tired day, I'll remind myself that there are people in attendance experiencing their first Broadway show and with a show like 'Frozen,' there are plenty of people watching who this is their first Broadway show. It's my job to make it as magical as I can for them."
Having graduated from Penn State in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in musical theatre, Bowman was one one of 10 honorees to receive the University's 2014 Alumni Achievement Award, which recognizes alumni 35 years of age and younger for their extraordinary professional accomplishments.
