UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The 8th annual Art + Feminism Wikistorming will take place Friday, March 25, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. via Zoom. The 2022 theme is "Feminist Coalition-Building." Click here to register to receive the Zoom link.

The event will be followed by a virtual reception for Penn State Art Education alumni, current students and friends, 4–6 p.m.

Launched in 2014, Art + Feminism is a campaign to improve coverage of women and the arts on Wikipedia, and to encourage feminist editorship. On March 25, participants will edit and create the Wikipedia entries on feminist artists, feminist curatorial practices, feminist art pedagogy and other subjects related to contemporary art, architecture, visual culture and feminism absent from Wikipedia. Invited scholars will highlight missing and misinformed areas on Wikipedia to focus collective endeavors throughout the day (see full schedule here).

The Zoom link will be sent to registrants two days prior to the Wikistorming, with reminders sent the day of the event. Registrants are welcome to join anytime, and to come and go throughout the day.

The event is sponsored by the Penn State School of Visual Arts and Art + Feminism.
