UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Glee Club, one of the University’s most beloved and longest-standing traditions, will mark its 135th anniversary with a celebratory concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26. The event, which will take place at Eisenhower Auditorium, will feature an evening of musical excellence, camaraderie and Penn State pride.

Under the direction of Christopher Kiver, the concert will feature performances from both the current Penn State Glee Club and the Hi-Lo’s. Audiences also can look forward to a special treat: a massed choir of current and former members of the Glee Club and Hi-Lo’s, joining voices in harmony to honor the legacy of this storied ensemble.

The program will include a diverse selection of works ranging from Randall Thompson to Franz Biebl’s beloved "Ave Maria." The evening also will spotlight the works of Bruce Trinkley, professor emeritus and former Glee Club director. The celebration will include much-loved Penn State songs that have become anthems of tradition.

Accompanied by pianist Seulki Yoo, this concert will not only celebrate the Penn State Glee Club’s rich history but also serve as a joyous reunion of Glee Club alumni.

Concert admission is $12.50 for adults and $5 for students. Tickets can be purchased through the Arts Ticket Center. The box office opens one hour before the concert.

Parking is available at the Nittany Deck at an hourly or event rate.

For those unable to attend in person, the concert will be available via livestream at the Penn State School of Music website.
