University Park, Pa. — In view of 110,017 attendees of the Penn State–Michigan game on Saturday (Oct. 18), the Nittany Lions thumped the Michigan Wolverines 46-17. But before the scoreboard registered the final score, the Penn State Blue Band shared the field with the Alumni Blue Band, the student S-Zone appeared in Penn State's original colors and two U.S. Navy F-18C Hornets performed a flyover of Beaver Stadium.
The following day (Oct. 19), enthusiasts of all ages turned out at University Park Airport's General Aviation Terminal to get a close-up look at the jets and see off the pilots as they headed back to their base, Naval Air Station Oceana in Virginia Beach, Va.
