“World Kitchen” is a virtual cooking workshop that offers guests the opportunity to download the recipes in advance and cook along, or simply watch and enjoy the conversation about cuisine, culture and traditions. For those who wish to cook along, a list of supplies needed is included with the registration confirmation.

On Oct. 8, Penn State Alumni Association CEO Paul Clifford will co-host with Tamra Fatemi-Badi, events manager for WPSU, who created the program.

While discussing how to cook for an alumni tailgate, Clifford and Fatemi-Badi will prepare one appetizer, one side, one entrée and a signature drink. The Lebanese-inspired recipes are perfect for the hungry guests at a tailgate, and will include include seven-layer dip, dolmas and kibbeh balls.

The “World Kitchen” program premiered in October 2020 and currently has more than 40 episodes available at wpsu.org/worldkitchen.

In addition to hosting “World Kitchen,” Fatemi-Badi began hosting WPSU’s broadcast program, "Culinary Connections," in 2022. She is a dual-passport holder and lives in State College with her globe-hopping husband, Mohammad, a 1989 Penn State alumnus.

As CEO of the Penn State Alumni Association and associate vice president for alumni relations for Penn State, Clifford guides Penn State’s alumni relations strategy and manages the Alumni Association’s broad range of programs, services and resources.
