UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State alumni and fans are encouraged to follow the Alumni Association on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn for extensive on-site coverage of the Rose Bowl experience, including the Penn State Pep Rally, which is set for 3:30-4:30 p.m. PST on Sunday, Jan. 1, in LA Live. More details are below.

Whether you’ll be cheering on Penn State football in person in Pasadena, at an Alumni Association chapter watch party, or from home, you can get involved.

Penn State Pep Rally

The Penn State Pep Rally will be held from 3:30-4:30 p.m. PST on Sunday, Jan. 1, in LA Live — the same pep rally location in 2017, Penn State’s last trip to the Rose Bowl. The pep rally will feature the Penn State Blue Band, Penn State Cheerleaders, Lionettes, Nittany Lion, and special guests. RSVP to the livestream on Facebook to receive a notification when the livestream begins.

The pep rally is free and open to all Penn Staters, and gates to the pep rally open at 2:30 p.m. PST. Entrance for the pep rally will be at the intersection of Chick Hearn Court and Georgia Street. Penn Staters can view parking options online for the pep rally, which will be on Chick Hearn Court toward the Crypto.com Arena.

On-site coverage

The Alumni Association will provide on-site social media coverage of the Rose Bowl experience, such as video coverage, photography, feature stories and livestreaming, including of the pep rally and community service project, if possible. The Alumni Association will partner with the University of Utah Alumni Association and volunteer at a local food bank in Los Angeles the morning of Saturday, Dec. 31. Sign-ups were offered to bowl tour participants, and capacity for the space has been reached. Penn Staters are encouraged to follow the Alumni Association on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn to stay connected and for opportunities to share their travel experiences and favorite memories of the season.

Watch parties

Alumni Association affiliate groups will host watch parties across the country to cheer on the Nittany Lions. Visit the alumni chapters page  to find a watch party near you. Penn Staters are encouraged to share their watch party info, along with videos, photos, and best wishes on the day of the game, within the Alumni Association's Facebook event.
