UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn Staters looking to hear behind-the-scenes stories and learn how they can cheer on Penn State football during the season can tune in each week to "The Football Letter Podcast," a weekly series that the Alumni Association produces in the fall.

Episodes feature conversations with inspiring lettermen and with volunteer leaders who bring the Alumni Association's mission to life, in addition to Penn Staters who help transform Beaver Stadium into the best atmosphere in college football. Also, select episodes will include historic insight from Football Letter Editor Emeritus John Black ’62 (1976–2021), drawing on his time covering Penn State football.

The volunteer leaders are often chapter presidents or board members, and they discuss how their chapters host watch parties and share how Penn Staters can get involved with a local chapter year-round. One of the 30-plus benefits of Alumni Association membership is access to 250-plus affiliate groups, including alumni chapters, many which host football watch parties.

Full episodes and video excerpts are available on the Alumni Association's season playlist.

Penn Staters who prefer to listen to the episodes can find them on the Alumni Association's podcast page by searching for "Football Letter."

Episodes are released each week during the season, with the exception of when Penn State is on a bye. This is the second season of the podcast, following its earlier format as a weekly live show. Football Letter Editor John Patishnock Jr. ’05 hosts the podcast, an extension of The Football Letter, another benefit of membership in the Alumni Association.
