UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Membership in the Alumni Association can help you show and share your Penn State pride this season. Here’s how you can get involved, cheer on the Nittany Lions, and stay updated on everything happening both on and off the field this fall. Bookmark alumni.psu.edu/gameday for the latest information throughout the season.
The Football Letter
Available exclusively to Alumni Association members, The Football Letter is a firsthand account of each Penn State football game, written for Penn State alumni. From team arrival to postgame interviews, the Football Letter captures the game day experience in Happy Valley and brings you up close with the players and coaches, through videos, photos and social media coverage. The member email will be sent the Monday following each game, with the exception of being sent Tuesday for the season opener against West Virginia, to account for the Labor Day holiday. All Penn Staters will receive the game day email on Friday this season (previously sent Saturday) to help you get ready for the weekend.
Visit the Alumni Association's website to hear what's on tap for this fall for the member email and the game day email. Alumni and fans also can stay updated by following The Football Letter on X.

USC Trip
The Alumni Association and Sports and Entertainment Travel have organized a fan tour for this season's football game at USC from Oct. 11-13. Letterman Adam Taliaferro (class of 2005) will travel with Penn Staters and host the tour.
The USC tour package includes a two-night stay in downtown Los Angeles at JW Marriott LA Live; a Friday night mixer, co-hosted by the Alumni Association and a local alumni chapter; and the Roar Tour Pep Rally. Also included will be a tour souvenir, event lanyard and credential, and more. The Roar Tour Pep Rally and Friday night mixer will feature performances from the Pep Band, Penn State cheerleaders and the Nittany Lion.
Penn Staters not traveling on the official tour are invited to register for the Friday night mixer when signing up for the USC Roar Tour. The Friday night mixer will be held at Tom’s Watch Bar, located in LA Live and within walking distance of the JW Marriott, the hotel where tour travelers are staying. There is a fee of $60 for members and $75 for non-members not on the official tour.
Away Game Mixers
The night before away games, the Alumni Association partners with a local alumni chapter to welcome alumni and fans for an evening of Penn State camaraderie. Often, the night features performances from the Penn State cheerleaders, Nittany Lion and Pep Band (comprised of members of the Blue Band). Having the band and cheerleaders on-site is always a highlight for local and traveling alumni and fans, with the Alumni Association funding the travel expenses for the Pep Band.
Away Game Mixers are set for: West Virginia (Aug. 30), USC (Oct. 11), Wisconsin (Oct. 25), Purdue (Nov. 15) and Minnesota (Nov. 22).
Registration for the Friday night mixer for West Virginia is open and part of the Roar Tour registration. The Alumni Association is co-hosting the event with the Washington-Greene Counties Chapter. Join fellow Penn Staters under the large, connected outdoor pavilion adjacent to the patio bar with complimentary snacks and appetizers. On the main stage outside, Fleetwood Gold will be performing at 7 p.m.
When registering for the Roar Tour at USC, you can sign up for the Friday night mixer at Tom's Watch Bar, located in LA Live. You will have that option before submitting registration. Admission cost is $60 for members and $75 for non-members. Admission for the Friday night mixer at USC is included for Penn Staters traveling on the tour package.
Registration for the season's remaining mixers will be available later this year.
Please note: There will still be mixers at Purdue and Minnesota, though the Pep Band, Penn State Cheerleaders and Nittany Lion will not attend.

Alumni Chapter Watch Parties
The Alumni Association has more than 130 alumni chapters across the country and many host watch parties during the football season. Alumni Association membership includes access to more than 200 affiliate groups and local chapters with no additional fees or dues. Find your group at alumni.psu.edu/groups. Many listings have links for the chapter's website, social channels and contact information. You can also browse the group events page for chapter watch parties.
Please note: The events page may not list all watch parties that are planned. The Alumni Association recommends finding your chapter on its groups page and visiting your chapter's website or social channels or emailing the president.
S-Zone and Shakers
The Penn State Alumni Association — with support from the Lion Ambassadors and the Blue & White Society — helps to create the best student section in the country, the S-Zone. No home game in Beaver Stadium would look the same without the organization of the S-Zone and distribution of S-Zone T-shirts to students in that section. And it just wouldn't be game day without the blue and white shakers that wave passionately throughout the student section in Beaver Stadium during Penn State football home games.
