UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Alumni Association is inviting alumni to Happy Valley for the 2024 Black Alumni Reunion. The reunion weekend will take place on the University Park campus Oct. 25-27.
“The Black Alumni Reunion is a multigenerational event that allows alumni to reconnect with the Penn Staters they know and forge new bonds with the ones they’ve just met,” said Jamika Williams, Black Alumni Reunion chair. “Whether attendees visit Happy Valley often, or haven’t made their way to campus in several years, this event will always remind alumni of why they chose Penn State in the first place.”
The weekend will kick off with a welcome reception featuring Berkey Creamery ice cream at the Hintz Family Alumni Center on the afternoon of Friday, Oct. 25, followed by a welcome party at the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center.
Saturday’s slate of events are highlighted by a step show in Schwab Auditorium where students and alumni will take to the stage and showcase their skills in a friendly competition. Additional events include tours of campus facilities and classroom buildings, along with a Penn State football watch party and tailgate as the Nittany Lions visit the Wisconsin Badgers.
To close the weekend, there will be a farewell brunch on Sunday, Oct. 27. Registration is set to go live on June 21 during We Are Weekend, and additional details and times for each event will be updated on the official reunion website as they become available. The Black Alumni Reunion weekend is member-exclusive, and more information can be found here.
