Penn State Altoona’s Adeline Baustert named AMCC Defensive Player of the Week

NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. — Penn State Altoona goalkeeper Adeline Baustert, of Apollo, was announced as the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference’s Defensive Player of the Week in women’s soccer on Monday, Oct. 7.

Baustert posted a pair of shutouts for the Lions during the week of Sept. 29, when the Penn State Altoona women’s soccer team added a win and a tie to its record.

On Oct. 1, Baustert blanked conference foe La Roche University in a 1-0 victory at home, making three saves and recording her first win of the season. The goalkeeper notched another shutout on Oct. 5 in a 0-0 home draw with AMCC opponent Alfred State, during which she made six saves.

Through nine games this season, Baustert currently ranks second among all AMCC goalkeepers in saves (52) while being fourth in save percentage (.743), shutouts (3), and minutes played (720:00). This is the senior’s first career AMCC Player of the Week award.
