ALTOONA, Pa. — Penn State Altoona is offering a six-week Scottish Highland dance class for adults beginning Wednesday, March 13.
This athletic dance form helps develop strength, stamina and flexibility. Students will be introduced to the Sword Dance and Highland Fling as well as social dances. An energetic class fueled by bagpipe music will bring out the Celtic spirit of dance in everyone.
Class will be held Wednesdays from March 13 through April 17 from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. in the dance studio, room 148 of the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts. Dancers should wear shorts or leggings with a t-shirt or tank top, socks or bare feet, long hair pulled back (No jeans or jean shorts). Students may bring a water bottle. There is a $50 fee registration fee. Registration is available online.
