ALTOONA, Pa. — Penn State Altoona will hold its annual Day of Dance from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22, in the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts. There is a $30 fee. This event is open to the public.
Dancers ages 10 to 18 will learn about and explore various dance styles including Scottish Highland, body alignment, floor barre, capoeira, somatics, and tap. Some class work will be presented at 6 p.m.
Day of Dance brings students together in a collaborative environment where they can learn from one another and meet their peers from different studios and communities around the region. This year will focus on shared techniques and how the commonalities between genres benefit all dance.
Dancers should wear proper dance attire and shoes and bring their own lunch and water bottles.
