Penn State Mont Alto to host 'Spend a Summer' event for highschoolers

Events will allow prospective students to learn about Mont Alto campus and overall Penn State opportunities

MONT ALTO, Pa. – Penn State Mont Alto is hosting two “Spend a Summer” events for local highschoolers on July 16 and Aug. 13. Prospective students and their families are invited to learn about Penn State’s admissions and student aid process, tour the campus, and meet faculty and staff.

Spend a Summer Evening will run from 5 to 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16, and Spend a Summer Day will run from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13. In addition to learning about Penn State Mont Alto, guests will also learn about the University-wide 2+2 plan, where students can begin their degree at Mont Alto and finish at another Penn State campus.

At the conclusion of the event on Aug.13, an optional application workshop will be available for prospective students to receive assistance in completing their Penn State application.

Advance registration is highly recommended and can be completed on the Penn State Mont Alto website.

Both events are excellent opportunities for perspective students and their families to learn about the Mont Alto campus, as well as overall Penn State opportunities.
