Nuventive assessment system outage planned for Nov. 6-20

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Nuventive, Penn State's online assessment management system, will be down for planned maintenance from 8 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 6, through 8 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 20, as part of the transition to a new user interface.

The scheduled outage will impact the portion of Nuventive that supports program assessment and accreditation. Affected users include assessment leaders who use Nuventive to report assessment plans and findings for academic programs, as well as academic administrators who monitor the assessment status of programs in Nuventive. The strategic planning portion of Nuventive will not be affected by the scheduled maintenance.

During the outage, existing assessment information will be transitioned into the new user interface. The system’s enhanced look and feel will strengthen the interface’s alignment with industry standards and user expectations. Significant new features will include a streamlined interface for entering program learning objectives, assessment methods and findings; redesigned reports; and improved navigation.

To assist users with the transition to the new user interface, the Office of Planning, Assessment, and Institutional Research (OPAIR) will soon be releasing updated self-guided resources. In the spring, OPAIR will offer comprehensive workshops for new Nuventive users and focused training for experienced users.
