President Neeli Bendapudi shares message with the community for Veterans Day; Military Appreciation events planned

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — In a video message to the Penn State community, President Bendapudi shares a message of gratitude for veterans, service members and military families for Veterans Day.

“Our appreciation runs deeper than any one day and our debt of gratitude for our nation’s veterans and service members is perennial,” Bendapudi said.

To honor the service and sacrifice of veterans, Penn Staters and local community members are invited to attend today’s (Nov. 10) Veterans Day events:

  • Military Appreciation Breakfast at 9 a.m. in Heritage Hall in the HUB-Robeson Center at University Park. Students, faculty and staff who currently serve or have served in the armed forces are invited to attend the breakfast, which will feature light refreshments, entertainment and networking. Walk-ins welcome.

  • Veterans Day Ceremony at 11:11 a.m. on the steps of Old Main at University Park (in the event of inclement weather the event will take place in Alumni Hall in the HUB-Robeson Center).

Both events also will be livestreamed at watch.psu.edu/MAW.
