UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Board of Trustees Committee on Finance, Business and Capital Planning recommended the purchase of 3011-3015 Research Dr. in Ferguson Township during its meeting at the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center today (Nov. 14). The recommendation will go to the full board on Nov. 15 for its consideration.
Currently the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) leases a portion of the 19,200-square-foot facility for its land vehicle research program. The purchase of the property will allow ARL to consolidate and expand its land vehicle research program into a single facility.
The committee is recommending the purchase of the property from Leitzinger Properties for an amount not to exceed $1.625 million.
